Sangrah delegation calls on CEC Kargil, highlights teacher shortage at GMS Gongma Sangrah

Kargil, DD: A delegation from Sangrah village today called on Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon at Council Secretariat to highlight shortage of teachers at Govt. Middle School Gongma Sangrah.

The delegation expressed concern over the recent transfer of an existing teacher, which is likely to adversely affect the school’s academic and extracurricular activities.

Taking action on the issue, the CEC issued immediate directions to Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Sankoo to cancel transfer order, ensuring that the school’s academic schedule remains unaffected in the ensuing academic session.

The delegation also raised other demands to which the CEC assured to fulfill in a phased manner.

The delegation also extended their gratitude to the CEC for various developmental initiatives undertaken by him in Sangrah. They were further informed that new development projects are in the pipeline for the constituency.

The CEC urged the delegation to extend their cooperation in the successful execution of these upcoming projects for extending the outlined benefits to the targeted population. The CEC assured the delegation that the matter regarding the dearth of staff at the schools shall be addressed accordingly.DD
