Ravinder Raina appointed National Executive Member BJP; Sunil Sharma tipped to be party’s LoP

Srinagar,(TDD): Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) today appointed Sat Sharma as the J&K president. He replaced Ravinder Raina who has been appointed as BJP’s National Executive Member (NEM).
Raina lost to deputy chief minister and NC leader Surinder Choudhary from Nowshera seat.
As per the party communique, Sat Sharma has been appointed as the party president forth with.
It read that Ravinder Raina has been appointed as national executive member of BJP.
Raina’s defeat in the recent assembly polls was seen as a big setback to BJP in Jammu region where it won 29 seats. With this move, decks have been cleared for appointment of Sunil Sharma as Leader of J&K Assembly.
Sharma, as per party sources, was vital for BJP to secure important seats in Chenab Valley. (TDD)
