School Timings Revised in Kashmir, New Schedule from April 1

Diplomat Correspondent

Srinagar, (DD): The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced revised school timings for all government and recognized private institutions across the Kashmir Division, effective from April 1, 2025.

According to the official directive, schools located within Srinagar Municipal limits will now operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while those situated outside Srinagar limits and in other parts of Kashmir will function from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The decision to revise school timings has been taken to streamline academic activities, optimize school operations, and ensure better coordination among institutions. The new schedule takes into account various factors, including seasonal changes, transportation convenience, and student safety.

Authorities have issued strict instructions for all educational institutions to adhere to the revised schedule, warning that any deviations will be taken seriously. School administrations, teachers, and parents have been advised to make necessary adjustments to accommodate the changes smoothly.

The new timing structure is expected to bring uniformity and better discipline in school operations, benefiting students and staff across the region.(DD)
