Srinagar,(DD)Minister for Education, Sakina Itoo, announced today that school timings across Jammu and Kashmir will be revised from the coming Monday in response to the ongoing heatwave affecting the region.
Itoo said, “I have already instructed the School Education Department to adjust school timings in light of the rising temperatures.”
The minister highlighted health concerns raised by parents. “I have been informed by parents that their children feel dizzy during the morning assembly,” she noted.
In light of this, Itoo directed that morning assemblies must not be held in open fields. “From Monday, new timings will come into effect, and I have directed the concerned authorities to ensure that morning assemblies are no longer conducted outdoors,” she stated.
