SDM Zanskar Reviews Independence Day Preparations

Zanskar, DD, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zanskar, Mohd Hassan, chaired a meeting on Wednesday at the Tourist Dak Bungalow to review preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.

After a detailed discussion, it was decided that the main function will be held at the Sports Stadium Zanskar. Various committees were also constituted to oversee the smooth conduct of the event.

The SDM directed the Block Development Officers and the Executive Engineer of PHE Zanskar to carry out Swachh Bharat Abhiyan activities and implement the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign across all Panchayat Halqas of the sub-division.

He further instructed all officers to attend the Independence Day function along with their subordinates, wearing formal dress.

The celebrations will feature a march-past and cultural performances by personnel from the Ladakh Police, NCC cadets, ex-servicemen, and school children.DD
