Second Phase of “Yun-Tab Scheme” Tablets Distribution Successfully Conducted in Kargil Zone

Under the "Yun-Tab Scheme" initiative by the School Education Department of UT Ladakh, the second phase of tablet distribution for students in Kargil Zone was carried out today in the Conference Hall, CEO Office Baroo with great enthusiasm

Kargil, DD, Under the “Yun-Tab Scheme” initiative by the School Education Department of UT Ladakh, the second phase of tablet distribution for students in Kargil Zone was carried out today in the Conference Hall, CEO Office Baroo with great enthusiasm. The distribution was graced by Sh. Sonam Angchuk, Chief Education Officer, Kargil, who formally handed over the Tablets to the schools of Kargil Zone.

The event was attended by esteemed officials and educators, including Mrs. Nargis Banoo, Zonal Education Officer, Kargil; Mr. Shabbir Hussain, Coordinator SAMAGRA Shiksha; Mr. Ahmad Ali, Coordinator Yun-Tab Scheme; Mr. Mohd Ali, DO/U-DISE Incharge; along with respected teachers from various schools of Kargil Zone. This distribution marks the continuation of the initiative aimed at improving learning conditions for students.

The first phase of the scheme was launched and executed in Chiktan Zone on April 28, 2025, where tablets were distributed by Hon’ble Executive Councillor for Education, LAHDC Kargil, Sh. Zakir Hussain, accompanied by the former Chief Education Officer, Sh. S.D. Namgyal, Sh. M. Ibrahim Zonal Education Officer Chiktan, and Mr. Ahmad Ali Yun-Tab Coordinator, covering all schools in the Chiktan Zone.

The School Education Department remains committed to enhancing educational infrastructure and ensuring better learning facilities for students across Ladakh. This initiative reflects the dedication to uplifting the academic environment and fostering quality education in the region.DD
