Samba :DD, Security forces are carrying out large-scale search operations in the border areas of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir. The operation is particularly aimed at riverbeds and forest areas along the border, where vigilance has been heightened due to apprehensions regarding suspicious activities.
Security forces are in high alert mode ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Special monitoring of border regions is being done to prevent any infiltration or unauthorized activities by terrorists.
Security force units are conducting search operations with the help of drones. Locals have also been asked to be on their toes and report suspicious activity to security forces at the earliest.
It should be added that the Union Home Minister’s visit is held to be crucial for assessing the security scenario of Jammu and Kashmir and rating development projects.DD
