Security Forces enhance security grid across Jammu Region

Srinagar: DD, Security forces on November 21 recovered two “Darra” made M4 rifles from a terrorist hideout alongwith other other arms, and ammunition in Nougam Valley, Kashmir.
What makes the recovery important is that these two M4 Rifles which were made in Darra Adam Khel – Pakhtoon dominant tribal area in the Kohat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
The area is known for its notorious weapon industry that is run illegally to sell firearms to the terrorists. Following the recovery, the sources said that the security forces have increased anti-terror operations across Jammu and Kashmir, and the Over Ground Workers (OGWs).
Pertinently, a joint operation of CRPF, SOG of J&K Police and Indian Army (20 RAJ RIF) was jointly launched and the search parties busted a militant hideout in the area of Nougam Valley.
They made recoveries include two M4 Rifles – Darra made rifles; two pistols, two grenades, and 43 rounds of ammunition.
Meanwhile, the security forces in Jammu Region have also tightened its grip against the terror sympathisers, and launched several operations in rural and hilly areas while strengthening the Village Defence Groups (VDGs).
The police have also initiated a step to enhance coordination between the police and public across Jammu Region.DD
