Calicut: DD, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, the Grand Mufti of India, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI171 in Ahmedabad. The ill-fated flight, operating from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, met with a devastating accident that has caused immense loss and grief.
In a statement issued today, the Grand Mufti said, “I am deeply grieved by this heartbreaking tragedy. My heartfelt prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those affected. May the injured be granted strength and healing.”
Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad also called on both the state and central governments to provide all necessary support to the victims and their families during this critical time.DD
