Shootout: Gangster attacks Police Party in Miran Sahib

JAMMU:DD, A gangster sustained bullet injury in police action at Miran Sahib area in Jammu District on Friday evening.’
“A police team from Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Jai Pal Sharma was checking vehicles at Kotli Mian Fateh, following inputs about the movement of the gangster,” said police sources quoting reports.
They said that the police team was fired upon by the gangster, who were present in one of the vehicles, in order to flee from the spot.
However, police team swiftly responded by opening fire on them.
“One gangster sustained bullet injury in the police action,” the reports, quoting the incident stated.
The police nabbed the injured criminal (injury in foots), who has been identified as Paramjeet Singh alias Jungi (32), resident of Dhrapta, RS Pura
The injured was evacuated from the spot and shifted to the GMC Jammu hospital for treatment.
A case in this regard has been registered and further investigation into the matter has been started.DD
