Srinagar,(DD):The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Saturday conducted a series of coordinated raids across multiple districts in Central and North Kashmir, as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected terror-related activities.
According to senior officials, the searches were carried out at various locations in Srinagar and Ganderbal in Central Kashmir, as well as Baramulla and Kupwara in the north. The operation was aimed at collecting evidence and disrupting possible support networks linked to militant groups operating in the region.
While the raids were extensive, no arrests or major recoveries have been reported so far. Officials stated that the action was based on credible intelligence inputs, and further developments are expected as investigations progress.
The SIA, Jammu and Kashmir’s premier counter-terrorism agency, has intensified its efforts in recent months, focusing on unearthing terror financing channels, dismantling sleeper cells, and tracking individuals suspected of aiding extremist elements.
Saturday’s operation is seen as part of a broader campaign to neutralise militant infrastructure and forms a continuing effort to ensure stability and security across the Union Territory(DD)
