Jammu: Police today claimed to have arrested six gamblers from a hotel in Sidhra and seized a betting amount during the raid.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team immediately swung into action and raided a prominent hotel at the Sidhra bypass on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway.
During the search operation, the police seized stake money amounting to ₹34,950, along with playing cards, chips, and other gambling-related articles.
Accordingly, a formal case, FIR No. 21 of 2026 under Section 112(2) of the BNS, has been registered at Police Station Nagrota. All the accused have been arrested, and further investigation is underway.DD
