LEH: DD, Smile Foundation successfully conducted vital Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities focused on Menstrual Hygiene and Anemia at Imamiya Mission School in Chuchot Shamma.
The initiative covered a total of 172 beneficiaries and successfully distributed 150 sanitary pads, ensuring essential resource access for the participants.
The core of the awareness drive was an in-depth session delivered by Dr. Junaid Fayaz. He delivered a comprehensive session on menstrual hygiene, detailing common menstrual problems and their effective management.
Furthermore, Dr. Fayaz strongly emphasized the significance of proper hygiene practices during menstruation. He also dedicated a substantial part of his session to addressing anemia, highlighting its early signs and stressing the critical role of a proper diet and regular health monitoring to combat this widespread issue, especially among adolescent girls.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness, dispel myths, and empower young women with the knowledge needed to manage their health confidently.DD
