Srinagar Police Intensifies Crackdown on Terrorist Associates to Dismantle Militant Infrastructure

Srinagar, DD, In its ongoing and determined campaign against terrorist associates linked to proscribed outfits, and in furtherance of investigations into cases registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Srinagar Police continues to conduct searches at multiple locations across the city. The aim is to dismantle terror-supporting infrastructure within the district.

Srinagar Police have carried out searches at the residences of the following individuals:

  1. Javid Ahmad Najar, son of Gh Qadir Najar, resident of Zaibakadal, involved in multiple cases including FIR No. 210/1999 PS M.R.Gunj, 86/2006 PS Kothibagh, 07/2007 PS Safakadal, 04/2007 PS Nigeen, 32/2007 PS Soura, 73/2019 PS Soura, and 35/2023 PS M.R.Gunj.
  2. Adil Ahmad Sofi, son of Mohammad Ayoub Sofi, resident of Rathpora Eidgah, involved in FIR No. 11/2024 PS M.R.Gunj.
  3. Shabir Ahmad Ganie, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin, resident of Ganai Mohalla New Theed, involved in FIR No. 24/2019 PS Harwan.
  4. Sheikh Faisal Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid Sheikh, resident of Firdous Colony Sadipora, involved in FIR No. 08/2023 PS Sangam Srinagar.
  5. Momin Javari Gojri, son of Javid Ahad Gojri, resident of Shalimar Colony Sadipora, involved in FIR No. 08/2023 PS Sangam.
  6. Rayees Ahmad Najar, son of Mohd Yousaf Najar (Kalaldoori Naidkadal), Ehitsham Bilal, son of Bilal Ahmad Sofi (Sumkishbal Khayar), and Amir Sedeeq Najar, son of Mohd Sedeeq (Kalaldoori Nidekadal), involved in FIR No. 48/2024 PS Khanyar.
  7. Mubashir Rashid, son of Ab Rashid Khosa (Jogilankar), Muzamil Khurshid, son of Khursid Ahmad (Beroni Kathidarwaza), and Mehnan Ah Khan, son of Mehraj-u-Din Khan (Syedpora Khawajapora), involved in FIR No. 48/2024 PS Khanyar.
  8. Ashiq Hussain Bhat, son of Abdul Rehman (Darbagh), involved in FIR No. 95/2021 PS Harwan.
  9. Farooq Ahmad Dar, resident of Bhagwanpora, involved in FIR No. 11/2024 PS Safakadal.
  10. Burhan Ahmad Shah, son of Reyaz Ahmad Shah (Zampakadal Srinagar), involved in FIR No. 156/2023 PS Safakadal.
  11. Altaf Ahmad Dar and Mohd Asif Nath, both residents of Malikpora Barthana, involved in FIR No. 127/2022 PS Parimpora.
  12. Umer Hamid Sheikh, son of Abdul Hamid Sheikh (Asaar Colony Hazratbal), involved in FIR No. 02/2020 PS Nigeen.
  13. Tawheed Ahmad (under PSA) and Bashir Ahmad Bhat (under PSA), residents of Sozieth, involved in FIR No. 73/2018 PS Rajbagh Srinagar.
  14. Ilyas Ahmad Sangeen, son of Shareef Ahmad Shangeen (Lalbazar Malalabagh Soura), involved in FIR No. 03/2025 PS Soura.
  15. Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat (Hamza Colony, 90 Feet Road Soura), involved in FIR No. 93/2016 PS Soura.
  16. Tawous Ahmad Gadda, resident of Hamdaniya Colony Bemina, involved in FIR No. 39/2022 PS Bemina.

The searches were conducted strictly in accordance with legal procedures, under the supervision of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses, and overseen by officers of J&K Police.

The operations aimed to seize arms, incriminating documents, digital devices, and other materials, focusing on gathering evidence and intelligence to thwart any conspiratorial or terrorist activities that threaten national security.

This decisive action reflects the unwavering commitment of the J&K Police to dismantle the terrorist ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir by identifying and taking strict legal action against individuals involved in anti-national and criminal activities.

Srinagar Police reiterate their resolve to uphold peace and security across the city, warning that anyone found promoting violence, disruption, or unlawful activities will face stringent legal consequences under the law( DD)
