RAMBAN: TDD,Police today have found the body of a man and his Thar.The man was missing for over a week from Srinagar.
The body was found from a deep gorge at Digdol area of Ramban District by the rescue teams of police, and locals.
The deceased was identified as Umar Uaseen Shah, a resident of Railway Colony, Nowgam in Srinagar.
The joint teams of SDRF, QRT, and local police swung into action upon learning from the locals about a thar and a body in a gorge at Digdol.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the missing person in his thar bearing registration number JK01-AN-9990 was travelling Srinagar towards Jammu, when he went missing.
However, the police have taken up further investigation to ascertain the facts.
A case in this regard has been registered at the concerned police station.TDD
