Kishtwar, DD, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Sh. Naresh Singh (JKPS), today chaired an introductory meeting with the newly posted Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) at the Conference Hall of District Police Office (DPO) Kishtwar. The meeting aimed to familiarise, orient, and motivate the newly inducted officers as they begin their duties in the district.
Welcoming the officers, SSP Kishtwar congratulated them on joining the Kishtwar Police team and stepping into a new phase of their policing career. He briefed them in detail about the current security scenario, demographic sensitivities, deployment pattern of police units, and prevailing militancy trends in the district. He also highlighted the core values of policing, including discipline, integrity, dedication, and a citizen-centric approach to law enforcement.
He urged the PSIs to act as responsible representatives of the police department and to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and public service. He advised them to maintain professionalism and compassion in their public interactions, while ensuring firmness against criminal and anti-national elements.
During the session, DySP Headquarters Dr. Ishan Gupta (JKPS) delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation covering the district’s demographic profile, law and order scenario, crime trends, and upcoming challenges. The presentation provided valuable insights into the strategic and operational aspects of policing in Kishtwar.
The meeting was also attended by SP PC Kishtwar Nissar Khoja (JKPS), SHO Police Station Kishtwar Inspector Firdous Ahmed, IC Cyber Cell SI Moin Khan, and other senior officers of the district police.DD
