St. Mary’s Infant Convent School’s Pre-Primary Wing Spreads Christmas Cheer

Jammu :TDD, St. Mary’s Infant Convent School (SMICS) ushered in a two-day Christmas extravaganza with a vibrant and heartwarming inauguration ceremony today. The kickoff to the two-day Christmas festivities transformed the pre-primary wing of the school into a winter wonderland as young children, dressed as angels, shepherds, and Santa Claus, brought the spirit of Christmas to life.

The event was honored by the presence of several esteemed guests, including Dr. Ruth K. Masehi, Head of Department of English at MAM College, Jammu, and Cluster University of Jammu; Rev. Robin Gill, Retired Finance Head of Indian Oil Corporation and distinguished social reformer; and Fr. Jaffat Masih, Assistant Priest of St. Mary’s Cathedral, Jammu and Director of Youth Commission of Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar.

School Chairperson Anna Mary and Director Anthony Ignatius warmly welcomed the special guests, expressing gratitude for their presence and support. As a token of appreciation, they presented each guest with a potted plant, symbolizing growth, prosperity, and the nurturing spirit of the school.

The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Principal Sheetal Anthony, which was followed by the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the esteemed dignitaries. Thereafter, the little stars of the pre-primary wing of SMICS stole the show with their delightful performances. From the angelic voices singing carols to the energetic dance performances and captivating skits, the children’s talent and enthusiasm filled the air with Christmas cheer.

The school administration honored distinguished guests Dr. Masehi, Gill, and Fr. Masih. Overwhelmed by the young performers’ talent and enthusiasm, the guests showered them with praise. They also commended the school’s visionary leadership, acknowledging SMICS as a beacon of educational excellence that is illuminating the future of the region.

The first day of the festivities concluded with a grand finale, featuring a beautifully adorned crib symbolizing the birth of Jesus Christ. The National Anthem marked the end of this joyous and spiritually uplifting event.TDD
