Kargil, DD: A Delegation led by Councillor Stakchay Khangral, Padma Dorjey meet with the Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon to discuss issues of the area.
The delegation was comprised by Stanzin Namgyal Lambardar Henasku, Tundup Dorjey Lambardar Bodh-Kharboo, Sadiq Ali Lambardar Takchay Brok to Tsaraks, Ali Hussain Lambardar Chulichan, Ghulam Qadir President BJP unit muslim community Stakchay Khangral, and Haji Jalil Executive Member BJP Stakchay Khangral.
The delegation informed the CEC that due to the recent multiple flash floods many irrigation canals, link roads, and agriculture fields were severely damaged, the delegation requested the CEC that immediate restoration of the canals, fields and roads is required at the earliest.
They also requested CEC Kargil for the sanction of special relief package for the affected villages before the next season begins as the livelihood of the entire population is mainly dependent on agriculture.
CEC Kargil Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon gave patient hearing to all projected demands and said that the issue has been already taken up with the UT Administration for the release of funds. CEC Kargil also assured for the early redressal of the demands.DD
