Udhampur :TDD, The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated Accession Day at its Udhampur office with prominent attendance from party leadership, including Jammu and Kashmir BJP State President Ravinder Raina. The event included a floral tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh and saw participation from BJP District President, three MLAs from Udhampur district, and various senior leaders and party workers.
State President Ravinder Raina While addressing media said that the sensitive issue of statehood, emphasizing the need for careful consideration between both governments rather than hasty decisions. He highlighted the region’s transformation, noting that Jammu and Kashmir has endured significant challenges like terrorism over the past 35 years but has seen remarkable progress in the last ten years under the Leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the combined efforts of citizens, armed forces, paramilitary forces, police,VDG’s and SPO’s.
Raina pointed to recent developments, including the formation of a new government and MLA swearing-in ceremonies, while cautioning against politicizing sensitive issues. He drew attention to recent security challenges, citing terrorist attacks in Gagangir and against the army as evidence that anti-national elements continue to oppose peace in the region. “The matter of statehood is a policy issue and extremely sensitive,” Raina stated, advocating for collaborative decision-making between governments while avoiding rushed judgments on critical matters affecting the region’s future.TDD
