Jammu :TDD, The Police Station Domana has seized five Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles equipped with modified silencers that were causing noise pollution and public nuisance in the area. This action follows numerous complaints from residents disturbed by the loud noises produced by these modifications. Authorities have announced plans to extend enforcement efforts to other areas of Rural Zone of Jammu and to target individuals and businesses involved in selling and installing these unauthorized silencers, in accordance with the Motor Vehicles Act.
It’s important to note that unauthorized modifications to vehicle silencers are illegal under the Motor Vehicles Act. Such alterations not only contribute to noise pollution but can also reduce the efficiency of the bike and pose safety risks.
Authorities are urging vehicle owners to refrain from making such modifications and are warning of strict penalties for those who continue to violate these regulations.TDD
