DC Kishtwar Inspects MGNREGA RDD Works in Drabshalla

Kishtwar,DD, In a bid to ensure transparency and quality in developmental works, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan conducted an inspection of MGNREGA and Rural Development Department (RDD) projects in Panchayat Sallana, Block Drabshalla today.
The visit aimed to assess the progress, quality, and adherence to guidelines in ongoing rural development initiatives. This inspection follows a recent visit to Block Mughalmaidan, where two employees were suspended for falsifying attendance records under MGNREGA. Reiterating his firm stance against malpractices, DC Kishtwar warned that any employee, including Mates, found involved in fraudulent attendance marking will face strict disciplinary action, including suspension or termination.
Three Employees Suspended for Negligence
During the inspection, Ayushi Sharma (VLW), Abdul Hamid (GRS), and Ravinder Kumar (GRS) were found guilty of dereliction of duty, leading to their immediate suspension.
DC Kishtwar personally scrutinized the quality of ongoing projects, ensuring that no compromise is made in the execution of infrastructure works. Stressing the importance of accountability, he directed officials to maintain authentic attendance records under MGNREGA, warning that any deviation will result in immediate administrative action.
Strengthening Monitoring & Ensuring Timely Execution
Accompanying the DC was Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar Phulail Singh who assured that monitoring mechanisms are being strengthened to uphold the integrity of MGNREGA and RDD projects. DC Kishtwar instructed officials to ensure timely execution of projects, maintain vigilance on work quality, and prevent any lapses.
Public Interaction & Outreach
During his visit, DC Kishtwar interacted with local delegations, listened to their grievances, and assured prompt redressal. He also visited Bhadhat, Bugrana, and Baroti villages, extending his inspection up to Kulchandna, the last habitation on the axis.
The visit reaffirms the district administration’s zero-tolerance policy towards irregularities and its commitment to ensuring corruption-free, impactful rural development initiatives that genuinely benefit the people of Kishtwar.DD
