By strengthening our cooperation, we are bringing our countries closer together and enhancing deterrence and defence in the region. I look forward to maintaining close contact with my Polish ministerial colleague and further developing the already close and trusting cooperation between our countries,” says Mr Bohlin.
Representatives from the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency took part in the meeting, outlining their work on the ‘In case of crisis or war’ pamphlet and the Agency’s work on skills supply for the rescue services during a heightened state of alert. The two ministers also paid a study visit to one of Stockholm’s civil population protection shelters.
“It is always gratifying to see the great interest that the Swedish national total defence service generates among our partners, and I am very keen that we share our knowledge and experience and learn from the experience of other countries,” Mr Bohlin continued.
