Jammu, DD, CPI(M) leader M.Y. Tarigami strongly criticized a BJP leader in the Assembly today for interrupting a discussion on development issues in Hiranagar.
During the session, Tarigami was raising concerns about lack of infrastructure, road connectivity, and public amenities in Hiranagar when a BJP leader attempted to intervene. Annoyed by the interruption, Tarigami hit back, accusing the BJP of failing to address the region’s development needs despite being in power for years.
“You have ruled here, yet basic facilities remain a distant dream for the people. Instead of defending failures, let us focus on solutions,” Tarigami said, directing his remarks at the BJP benches.
The exchange led to heated arguments, with opposition members backing Tarigami’s demand for urgent action on developmental issues in the region. The Speaker intervened to restore order as the debate continued.(DD)
