Katra,DD :-Â Weather shift in North India caused a massive reduction in temperature at the Vaishno Devi shrine and adjoining Katra town. The region witnessed overnight uninterrupted rain and early morning on Thursday light snow on the surrounding hills of Vaishno Devi shrine. Devotees, who traveled to the temple to have Mata Vaishno Devi darshan, could see the exhilaration on the devotees’ faces to have the rare view of this unconventional weather.
This change in weather is unexpected as February had started with exceptionally warm weather this year. The overnight rain has, however, dramatically changed the temperature trends in the area, providing relief from the premature arrival of warm weather.
The unexpected change in weather conditions has given a peaceful ambiance around the sacred shrine, which adds to the spiritual experience for the pilgrims visiting the place. DD
