Terrorist attack Jal Jeevan Project in Budgam, 2 labourers injured

Srinagar, (TDD): Two non-J&K labourers working on Jal Jeevan Project at Mazahama area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district were injured after terrorists fired at them this evening, officials said.

An official said that the incident happened at Magam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district when suspected terrorists shot at two labourers working at Jal Jeevan Project. “Both received bullet injuries were shifted to nearby SDH Magam wherefrom they were referred to SKIMS Bemina for advanced treatment,” the official said.

“One labourer has received a bullet injury in his arm and another in leg. Both are stable,” a police official said, adding that the area has been cordoned off and a massive hunt launched to track down the attackers.

This is the third big strike by terrorists after Gagangeer, Ganderbal on October 23 where a local doctor and six labourers were killed. The attack was followed another one at Gulmarg area of Baramulla where two army porters and three soldiers were killed after terrorists targeted the army convoy last week—(TDD)
