Kupwara, (DD)Security forces achieved a major success on Saturday after busting a terrorist hideout in the Machil sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, leading to the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation was launched by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police. During a thorough search of the area, a concealed hideout was unearthed, containing a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and other war-like stores.

Officials said the recovered items include assault rifles, pistols, grenades, and a substantial quantity of ammunition. The successful operation is being seen as a major blow to terror groups attempting to infiltrate and disturb the prevailing peace in the region.
