Udhampur: DD, Police today claimed to have arrested a thief and recovered the stolen goods on his disclosure.
Police Station Majalta received a complaint from one Naresh Singh, son of Sansar Singh, resident of Sunal, Teh Majalta, Udhampur stating therein that some unknown thieves have stolen some selling items alongwith cash from his shop in the jurisdiction of PS Majalta. In this regard, case FIR Number 16 of 2025 under relevant section of law stands registered in PS Majalta.
Taking the cognizance of the matter, the special police team led by SHO PS Majalta was formulated to solve the case and nab the culprits. During the investigation several suspects were rounded up by the police team and put to sustained questioning.
During which one suspect namely Suman alias Raj Kumar, son of Munshi Ram, son of Sunal, Majalta confessed his involvement in the said case and has been arrested by the Police team.
On the confession of the accused person, stolen property has been recovered by the police team. Further investigation into the matter is in progress.
It is pertinent to mention that Suman alias Raj Kumar has a history of involvement in multiple criminal cases, as reflected in the following FIRs from different police stations.DD
