Three-Day Workshop on Social, Emotional & Ethical (SEE) Learning Concludes in Leh

Leh, Ladakh,DD, A three day workshop on Social, Emotional & Ethical (SEE) Learning for Heads of Institutions (Hols) and Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) from different zones concluded today at Hotel The Indus Valley, Leh. The workshop aimed to foster compassionate leadership and create a nurturing school environment in the educational institutioms of Leh Ladakh.

The event was graced by Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk. as the chief guest. while Chief Education Officer (CEO) Sonam Wangchuk attended as the guest of honour. Deputy CFO, Khalida Parveen, was also present on the occasion

In her welcome address, Deldan Angmo, Principal of DIET Leh, expressed her gratitude to the chief guest and guest of honour for taking the time to engage with the education officers. She presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation showcasing the achievements of DIET Leh in 2024. She also extended her appreciation to the resource. persons, Tsering Wangdus, Senior Lecturer and Tsering Angmo Tsanspa, Lecturer of DIET Leh, for their valuable contributions in enlightening the participants on SEE Leaming

CEO Sonam Wangchuk emphasized the growing importance of SEE Learning in today’s rapidly evolving world. He highlighted the need for integrating social, emotional, and ethical education to foster a compassionate and supportive learning environment in schools.

Speaking on the necasion, Chief Guest Tsering Angchuk lauded DIET Leh for its significant contributions in successfully organizing SEE Learning workshops, which have bencfitted over 1.200 teachers and school heads. He particularly appreciated DIET Leh for conducting this specialized workshop for school leaders in the well-facilitated Hotel Indus Valley.

He also shared LAHDC Leh’s vision for the future development of education in the district. Furthermore, he informed participants that SEE Learning has been officially integrated into the regular curriculum by the UT Ladakh administration and urged all Hols to ensure its effective implementation from the upcoming academic session after the winter vacation.

The chief guest also distributed certificates to the participants in recognition of their active engagement in the workshop.

Participants took part in various skill-development activities designed to enhance their understanding and practical application of SEE Learning principles in their respective schools.
