Jammu: DD, Police today claimed to have arrested three criminals with illegal arms in Satwari area.
Acting on the inputs, police team conducted a successful operation in the Phallian Mandal area, during which three hardcore criminals were apprehended in possession of illegal arms and ammunition.
During the operation, police recovered a Desi Katta along with 07 live cartridges from their possession. The seized arms and ammunition have been secured as case property for further proceedings.
The arrested persons have been identified as Jagan Deep Singh alias Ruble, son of Gurdeep Singh, resident of village Tinday, Tehsil RS Pura, Parshotam Choudhary alias Posha, son of Shani Raj, resident of village Rathua, Goamanasha, and Uplaksh Choudhary alias Laksh, son of Romesh Kumar, resident of village Suryachack, Phallian Mandal, Satwari.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused persons are wanted in three cases of Police Station Miran Sahib as well as other cases registered in different Police Stations of Jammu District.
The apprehension of these criminals marks a significant success in the efforts of Jammu Police, South Zone, towards maintaining peace and security in the region. Cognizance of the matter has been taken and further legal proceedings are underway. The accused remain in police custody, and investigation is in progress.DD
