Jammu: A medical and veterinary camp was successfully organised by the Tiger Division at Bhure Chak Stadium, with active participation from the Borderless Foundation NGO and the civil administration. The camp received an overwhelming response from the border villages of Makwal, Sohanjana, Mandal, and Marh.
The camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services to border communities, benefiting both people and animals under one roof and reflecting a holistic approach to community welfare.
Experienced doctors, veterinary officers, and support staff offered free medical check-ups, consultations, medicines, and preventive healthcare advice, addressing critical needs in border areas.
The camp was graced by the presence of MLA Surinder Bhagat and Brigadier Kumar Anand, Commander of Chenab Brigade, who attended the event as chief guests and interacted with beneficiaries, medical professionals, and volunteers.
The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the Tiger Division, Borderless Foundation NGO, and civil authorities for organising such a large-scale and impactful initiative. They emphasised the importance of regular medical and veterinary camps in improving overall health standards and enhancing awareness about disease prevention, particularly in sensitive border regions.
Over 1,000 individuals, including men, women, children, and livestock owners, benefited from the camp. Numerous animals also received health check-ups and treatment, while residents availed themselves of medical consultations and free medicines.
The successful conduct of the camp highlighted strong civil-military fusion, with seamless cooperation among the Army, civil administration, healthcare professionals, and non-governmental organisations.
