‘Several Cops Suspended For Inaction, FIR Lodged Against Attacker’

Kathua: DD, Some persons have reportedly attacked a tourist van, and damaged its windscreen in Juthana area of Kathua District.
Local Media Reports claimed that the person has been identified as Ravinder Singh alias Thela.
The role of police personnel came under scanner, when these cops allegedly did not prevent the aggressive person from damaging the vehicle carrying tourists.
Acting promptly, the police authorities have placed under suspension approximately 6 to 8 policemen, who were present on the spot, and failed to protect the tourists.
Soon after the incident, the accused fled from the spot, and police launched a manhunt to nab him.
Meanwhile, a case in this regard has been registered at the concerned police station, and further investigation in the matter has been taken up.DD
