Jammu: TDD,The alertness of the Traffic cops at Kassim Nagar Chowk has helped the Bahu Fort Police to recover a stolen bullet motorbike from the alleged robbers, as per the cops.
“We noticed a motorbike (JK02-CQ-0992) and stopped it for routine checking of documents and other formalities. However, the rider became unnecessarily aggressive at the cops who stopped the two-wheeler,” an official source said, quoting that the traffic police team immediately became suspicious and was supervised by SO Traffic, Mohammed Shafiq.
They raised the alarm and informed the police while doing their routine document checking formalities at the Kassim Nagar Chowk, pretending that they were still not suspicious about the rider.
“As soon as the police from the concerned police station rushed to the spot, they nabbed the rider and took him into their custody with the active support of the Traffic Police,” said the sources.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the bullet motorbike was stolen from the Bathindi area a few days back, and it was later recovered by the traffic police at Kassim Nagar.
The police sources said that the rider allegedly had a cutter with him, and he attempted to harm himself when he was nabbed by the alert traffic cops and the police team in a professional manner.TDD
