Jammu :DD,In a tragic incident that occurred this morning a young man lost his life in a hit-and-run accident near the JDA Complex Treasury on New Plot Main Road, adjacent to the Radha Krishna temple. Akshay Kumar, originally from Bhadrwah and currently residing with relatives in Chinore, was fatally crushed by a cement-loaded truck at the scene.
The incident led to immediate response from law enforcement, with DSP Satish Bhardwaj of Bakshi Nagar, SHO Police Post Sarwal, and DTI Traffic promptly arriving at the accident site. A hit-and-run case has been registered at the Bakshi Nagar Police Station, and authorities have launched an investigation to locate the truck driver who fled the scene.DD
