Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society Organizes Session on “Yoga for Mental Health” in Collaboration with Isha Foundation

Jammu :TDD,Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) successfully organized a transformative session on “Yoga for Mental Health” in collaboration with the renowned Isha Foundation. The event aimed to promote mental well-being and spiritual growth through the timeless practices of yoga and meditation.

Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, the State Yoga Commissioner, State Chairman of the Indian Yoga Association, and President of Vichar Kranti Manch International, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Rajinder Parsad Kakkar, the esteemed President of TNWS, presided over the function, marking a significant step towards creating awareness about mental health in the community.

The session was led by a trained instructor from the Isha Foundation, Shivani, who was assisted by Shubham Barnala and Sanjeevni Rani. Shivani introduced the participants to the philosophy of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and the vision of the Isha Foundation. Established with the mission of fostering human well-being, the foundation offers various programs designed to enhance physical, mental, and spiritual health. The instructor highlighted the foundation’s efforts to empower individuals through yoga, meditation, and sustainable living practices.

A video presentation on meditation techniques provided practical insights into achieving inner peace and mental clarity. Participants, including TNWS executive members— Indu Puri, Rajni Malhotra, Rama Jamwal, Shailja Gupta, Amarjeet Singh, O.P. Sharma, Dr. T.R. Gupta, and K.K. Mahajan—actively engaged in the session, finding it highly enlightening and beneficial.

Dr. Jain, in his address, emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle for mental and physical health. He shared valuable health tips and underscored yoga’s role in nurturing a sound mind and body. His inspirational words resonated deeply with the audience, motivating them to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.

Ashok Kumar Arora, Patron of TNWS, concluded the program with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the Isha Foundation, the Chief Guest, and all participants for making the event a resounding success.

This initiative by Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society reflects its commitment to the holistic development of society and highlights the growing significance of yoga in addressing mental health challenges in today’s fast-paced world.TDD
