Jammu:DD, In a significant action against forest related crime, Jammu Police today seized a Truck involved in the illegal transportation of timber in the Domana.
Acting swiftly by naka party of PS Domana intercepted one truck bearing registration number JK02BK/6835 being driven by Jamyat Ali, resident of Sangallard Akhnoor and loaded with Timber.
Upon inspection, the vehicle was found loaded with various types of wooden logs and twigs, believed to have been illegally felled and intended for unauthorized sale.
The vehicle and its contents were seized on the spot. A formal report has been lodged at Police Station Domana.
After the completion of all legal formalities, the seized tractor and timber will be handed over to the Forest Department for further action under relevant provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Forest Act.DD
