Two Arrested for Hooliganism at Bahu Plaza; Jammu Police Acts Swiftly

Jammu, March 19(DD): In a swift response to a viral video showing public nuisance at Bahu Plaza, Jammu Police arrested two individuals involved in hooliganism within half an hour of the incident.The accused, identified as Rahat Katoch and Danish Katoch, both sons of Satish Katoch and residents of Grand Homes, Suraj Nagar, Jammu, were taken into custody by personnel from Police Station Bahu Fort. The duo was reportedly causing a disturbance, prompting authorities to intervene immediately.An FIR (No. 88/2025) has been registered against them under Sections 74, 352, 351(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police confirmed that both individuals are now in custody and have been placed on remand as investigations continue.The incident highlights the firm stance of Jammu Police against public disorder, with officials reiterating their commitment to swift action to maintain law and order. Authorities have urged the public to report such incidents to ensure a safe and secure environment in the city(DD)
