Two arrested with stolen goods by Bathindi Police

Jammu,TDD: Police today claimed to have arrested two thieves with stolen property at Bathindi area falling under Sub-Division East of South Zone, Jammu District.As per the police, the Police Post Bathindi received a written complaint from Sheikh Ata-Ullah Naz, son of Sheikh Mohammad Ayoub, resident of Bathindi near City Hospital Dungian in Tehsil Bahu of District Jammu regarding theft of an alto car and other precious items.On receiving the complaint, the concerned police lodged a case under FIR No. 215/2024 under section 303 (2) / 331 (3) / 305 BNS at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.During the investigation, the police investigating team analysed CCTV footage minutely, based on the information gathered on human intelligence and technical support.The police parties of Police Station Bahu Fort and Police Post Bathindi headed by SHO PS Bahu Fort Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia assisted by Sub-Inspector Shakil Ahmed, Bathindi and Assistant Sub-Inspector Javid Iqbal (Investigating Officer) of the case under the supervision of SDPO City East Jammu did hectic efforts and with timely human intervention rounded up suspects.As the investigation proceeded, police team rounded up two suspected persons identified as Ashok Kumar Sharma, son of Prem Kumar, resident of Nei Basti Bagh-e-Bahu, and Sonu Singh, son of Ranjeet Singh, resident of Dhanak Pur District Dholpur in Rajasthan at present Bagh-e-Bahu, Jammu.These suspects, in their questioning during the course of investigation, confessed about their involvement in the above said case and on their disclosure police recovered the stolen alto car bearing registration number JK02-DA-9745, one camera sonica, and other items including cooking gas cylinders.The apprehended thieves also disclosed that they have committed thefts at various other places and up on their disclosure more stolen goods were recovered (mobile phones, gas cylinders, laptop). These items were seized U/S 106 BNS.The police claimed to have recovered approximate value of stolen/recovered property is Rs 800000. TDD
