Kishtwar, TDD,A comprehensive district-level mock exercise simulating earthquake, landslide, and other natural and man-made disasters concluded today at the University Campus in Kishtwar.

The Mock Exercise was Organized by the District Administration in collaboration with the 13 Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), this two-day event aimed to enhance disaster preparedness, improve response capabilities of different stakeholder, and strengthen inter-departmental coordination across Kishtwar.

On the second day at the Jammu University, Kishtwar Campus, participants observed live demonstrations of critical preventive measures for various disaster scenarios, including fire breakouts in houses, LPG cylinder explosions, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, and the effective use of fire extinguishers. These activities were designed to equip participants with practical skills and to increase awareness about disaster response.

Assistant Commandant of the NDRF, Javed Iqbal, emphasized the importance of individual efforts in preventing accidents and urged all attendees and the general public to exercise caution and follow safety protocols.
The event saw the active participation of Officers and community members, including Mohd. Rafie Naik Tehsildar MughalMaidan, Shafqat Ali Keen AD Food, Sajad Khan DYSP DAR, SDRF officers, NCC cadets, college students, the District SDRF team, and representatives from various departments.
