Jammu,TDD: Police today claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers with a pistol in Bishnah.
Acting on a specific input regarding two persons namely Jaswinder Singh S/O Kulbir Singh R/O W No 02 Bhour Camp Chatta 2.Jarnial Singh S/O Harpal Singh R/O W No 02 Bhour Camp Chatta, who are involved in illegal trade of selling/transporting of narcotics contraband, who were roaming in vehicle bearing regd no JK02BN 0205 in Bishnah ring road area, in this regard a police party of PS Bishnah along with Executive Magistrate Bishnah laid a naka at Palli Morh, Ring Road, Bishnah and intercepted the said vehicle coming from Raya Morh area towards Bishnah.
During search, 265 gms of heroine-like substance along with fire arm i.e one pistol and 02 live cartridges were recovered from them.
In this regard a case FIR No 209/2024 under sections 8/21/22/29/60/NDPS Act, 3/25/A.Act has been registered at PS Bishnah and investigation set into motion.
It is pertinent to mention here that both the accused persons are habitual/hard-core criminals whose are involved in criminals activities in past also, number of cases have already been registered, against them in different Police Stations in Distt Jammu.
This successful operation marks a significant breakthrough, and further investigation is underway.TDD
