Udhampur :-TDD,Police today claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers with charas in Chenani.
Acting on inputs, police recovered approx one kg 130 grams of Charas like contraband substance from two narcotic smugglers at Chenani naka point, NHW.
Police party of PS Chenani led by its SHO while performing routine vehicle checking at Chenani nakapoint. During naka checking, police team apprehended two persons who were on their own way towards Jammu side by foot.
Upon search/frisking of both the apprehended persons 1kg 130 grams (approx) of Charas like substance was recovered from the possession of above said narcotic smugglers namely Jagdish Raj, son of Faqir Chand, resident of Doda and Kuldeep, son of SumiRaj, resident of Kara Doda, who have been arrested on the spot and the said narcotic consignment has also been seized.
In this connection, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Chenani and further investigation of the case is taken up.TDD
