Two J&K Government Employees Sacked Over Suspected Terror Links

Jammu, (DD) The Jammu and Kashmir administration has dismissed two government employees from service over their alleged involvement in activities threatening national security.

The employees have been identified as Basharat Ahmad Mir, Assistant Wireless Operator in the J&K Police Department and a resident of Brein, Srinagar, and Ishtiyak Ahmed Malik, Senior Assistant in the Public Works (R&B) Department, hailing from Shitroo Larnoo, Anantnag.

According to official sources, both individuals were found to be allegedly involved in actions that posed a serious threat to the security and integrity of the state. The government stated that taking strict measures against those linked to anti-national activities is essential to ensure peace and stability in the region.

As per official orders issued by the Lieutenant Governor’s administration, the dismissals were carried out under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India, which allows termination without an inquiry in matters concerning state security.

The orders note that after examining the facts and available intelligence, the Lieutenant Governor was satisfied that continuing their services was not in the interest of the state. Both employees were dismissed with immediate effect.(DD)
