JAMMU: DD, Two Sub-Inspectors of J&K Police were killed in a tragic road mishap in Nowgam area in Srinagar.
The deceased SIs have been identified as Sachin Verma, 23 Bn IRP, presently posted at Pantha Chowk and his colleague, Shubam of 21 Bn IRP posted at Awantipora.
As per the reports, driver of the KIA vehicle bearing registration number JK21H-1919 lost its control and consequently, it hit a divider in the middle of the road at Tengen bypass area, leading to the tragic road mishap.
It left three police officers including two Sub Inspectors, and a police personal sustained critical injuries. Immediately, a rescue operation was launched, and the victims were shifted to the hospital.
However, the two Sub-Inspectors succumbed to the injuries. The injured police personnel identified as Mastan Singh has been undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case in this regard at the concerned police station, and further investigation in this road mishap is on. (Agencies)
