Udhampur ,TDD:- Udhampur Police have arrested the second accused in the recent assault case at Salathia Chowk. Police officials arrested Imran Chandail, son of Gulzar Ahmed and resident of Gangera, Udhampur, after sustained investigative efforts. The arrest is in connection with the attack on Sourav Rathore, son of Maan Singh from Omala, Udhampur, on January 8, 2025.
The case, which has been registered under FIR No. 12/2025 with sections 109/BNS and 4/25 of the Arms Act, has moved forward steadily with this second arrest. The first accused, Mohd Arif, was taken into custody immediately after the incident.
The Udhampur Police team continues to investigate and pursue the remaining suspects in connection with the attack. This latest arrest shows that the police department is committed to maintaining law and order in the region and taking swift action against perpetrators of violence.TDD
