Udhampur Police Nab Absconding Drug Case Accused from Gujarat

Udhampur :TDD, A Police team from Udhampur Police Station led by the Station House Officer (SHO) apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for over a year.
The accused, identified as Sheikh Abdul Latief, son of Abdul Star, resident of H.No. 3150, Chand Bai Ki Chali, Mohalla Mastan, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, was wanted in connection with a Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act case registered at Udhampur Police Station in 2019 (FIR No. 546/2019 U/S 8/20NDPS Act).
Latief had reportedly jumped parole on February 2nd, 2023, and had been on the run since then. To ensure his capture, an arrest warrant was issued by the Principal Sessions Judge, Udhampur.
Acting swiftly on the warrant, the Udhampur police team traced and apprehended Latief from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He was then brought back to Udhampur and produced before the court of law. This arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing NDPS case and highlights the dedication of the Udhampur Police in bringing absconders to justice.TDD
