Udhampur, (TDD): A wave of anger swept through the Muslim community in Udhampur as hundreds gathered here to condemn the derogatory remarks made against Prophet Muhammad (SAW)by Yati Narsinghanand.

The peaceful protest, which commenced at the Eidgah Jamia Masjid in Adarsh Colony, marched towards Dhar Road, demanding swift and stringent legal action against the accused.

The demonstrators carried placards and banners, vociferously expressing their outrage over the hate speech incident. They chanted slogans emphasizing the importance of communal harmony and the need to uphold the dignity of all religions. The protest, which drew significant attention from locals and media alike, underscored the deep resentment felt by the community.

Law enforcement officials were present at the scene to maintain peace and order. After hours of peaceful demonstration, district administration officials intervened and assured the protesters that appropriate action would be taken against the accused. Following these assurances, the protesters dispersed peacefully.

The incident has once again highlighted the sensitive nature of religious sentiments and the potential for such remarks to disrupt communal harmony. The demand for justice and accountability has resonated with many, sparking a broader conversation about hate speech and its consequences.(TDD)
