Udhampur,TDD: Sumeet Magotra the Congress party candidate for Udhampur West constituency , filed his nomination papers today.
To mark the occasion, he organized a large nomination rally that saw significant participation from his supporters, Congress workers, and residents of Udhampur West constituency, including women, children, elderly, and a large number of youth.
The nomination rally began at Mini Stadium Udhampur and proceeded through the city’s main squares, markets, and thoroughfares before concluding at a private palace in Udhampur. Accompanied by his supporters, Magotra submitted his nomination papers at the Returning officer (RO) Udhampur West constituency office located within the Deputy Commissioner’s office campus.
Speaking to the media after filing his nomination, Magotra expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from various areas of Udhampur West constituency, including Moungri, Panchari, Jib, Thathi, Kambal Danga, Udhampur Urban and many other areas of Udhampur west.
He thanked the people of Udhampur for their blessings and massive turnout at the nomination rally.
Magotra promised that if elected to the Assembly, he would address issues that have been neglected in Udhampur for the past 10 years. He highlighted problems in local hospital, where patients face difficulties in receiving proper treatment and are often referred to Jammu. He also mentioned the severe electricity and water shortages, as well as unemployment among youth.
The Congress candidate pledged to fight for the rights of daily wage workers and Anganwadi workers in the Assembly if voted to power. Magotra expressed confidence in securing a resounding victory in the Udhampur West seat and promised to work tirelessly for the constituency’s development if elected. TDD
