Jammu : DD,UT of Jammu and Kashmir celebrated the 76th Republic Day of the Nation with a colorful display of culture, unity and Military & Police might at the Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu. The ceremony started with the unfurling of the Tri-colour by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha in the august presence of Chief Minister Shri Omar Abdullah. A total of 10 uniformed Contingents of Army, CAPF and JKP along with their ceremonial bands smartly turned out for the participation in the parade and were reviewed by the Lieutenant Governor. The parade also witnessed marching contingents of NCC cadets, school children and their band display which was a treat to watch.
The fine coordination between different security agencies and civil administration was on full display with the Indian Army Contingent commanding a conglomerate from different spheres with absolute perfection. The event was witnessed by various dignitaries from the State Administration, Military and Police together. The overwhelming crowd witnessed the parade and the energy & patriotism amongst the crowd was evident. Lieutenant Governor complimented all contingents and complete civ adm staff for such a spectacular conduct of Republic Day Parade at the end.DD
