KISHTWAR:DD, A Village Defence Guard (VDG) today allegedly shot himself here at Akra Nagbatan area of Bhatkoot, Kishtwar.
He has been identified as Tek Chand (45), son of Prem Nath, resident of Akra Nagbatana, Kishtwar.
Reports claim that the VDG member using his service rifle shot himself at his residence. He died on the spot.
His body has been shifted to the hospital for legal formalities, and autopsy.
Meanwhile, the police have started investigation into the matter following the registration of a case at the concerned police station.DD
