KISHTWAR: TDD,The Sub Divisional Administration, Chatroo today suspended vehicular movement on Kishtwar – Sinthan route in Kishtwar keeping in view the low visibility and inclement weather conditions.
As per the reports, the decision to suspend the traffic movement on Kishtwar – Sinthan Route was taken in the wake of snowfall at Sinthan Top and severely reduced visibility caused by thick fog.
“The decision was taken to avoid any tragedy till the weather condition improves. Therefore, no permission was given to the traffic movement on the above stated route,” the official said.
In this regard, the SHO Police Station, Chatroo has also been directed to enforce no entry of all the vehicles on the said route towards the Sinthan Top from Parna Police Check Post.
The situation is being regularly monitored by the authorities with the coordination of the local police. The people are also advised to properly check with the authorities before planning a journey towards any snowbound areas.TDD
