Vidya Pravesh Test Conducted in Schools across Ladakh

Leh: DD, The Vidya Pravesh Test was successfully conducted across various schools of Ladakh, marking a significant step towards strengthening the foundational learning of young students in the Union Territory.
The initiative, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aims to ensure that every child attains age-appropriate Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills.
As part of the review, Dr. Vijayan from NCERT, New Delhi visited Council Model School, Sabu to assess the conduct of the programme.


During his visit, Dr. Vijayan expressed deep appreciation for the systematic functioning of the school, its overall academic standards, and effective implementation of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy as per prescribed norms.
He specially commended the headmaster, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff for their collective effort and dedication in creating a conducive learning environment for children.
Dr. Vijayan emphasised that the success of the Vidya Pravesh programme in Ladakh reflects the commitment of educators in the region towards laying a strong educational foundation for future generations.
District Institute of Education and Training Leh is committed to continue such initiatives that empower students with essential learning skills, ensuring holistic development in line with the vision of NEP 2020.DD
